Wei is an award-winning journalist and filmmaker known for sophisticated, nuanced narratives. She specializes in editing, and also directs, produces and shoots. She has more than a decade of journalistic experience in digital news, television and newspapers, which helps her craft honest stories with emotional resonance.

Wei lives in Hong Kong and works as a video producer and motion graphic designer for BBC World Service. Previously, she was a multimedia journalist for Reuters and a photo editor for CNN. She frequently worked with producers to make cinematic stories for a digital audience, and her multimedia collaborations pushed the form in new directions.
